Lunch Program

Employment Oppurtunity

Imlay City School Food Service is looking for energetic people to assist during employee absences.  You will be joining a group of ladies who started working as just something to do while the kids went to school and stayed for the fun and companionship.  Many of our staff have worked more than 10 years.  Hours are usually between 10am - 2 pm which makes it very convenient because you don’t need to hire caregivers for your children since you are working while they are in school. Days off are the same as student days off (snow days, weekends, holidays).  To apply please stop by the Education Service Center, 634 Borland Rd., Imlay City, 48444 to complete an application.  Job description available upon request.  Any questions please call Roxanne Pierce, 810-724-9855 or email

Current News from ICS Food Service Department

For the upcoming school year 2022-23 schools are NO LONGER able to provide free meals to all students.  This provision  expired on the last day of school year, which for ICS, was Thursday, June 9, 2022.

Beginning August 22, 2022 we will be required to charge for school meals according to household meal eligibility.  This makes it more important than ever that families complete a free and reduced lunch form for all students in your household.  Forms can be found on this website under "Lunch Program" and can be returned beginning July 1, 2022.   We also plan to offer an online version  (coming soon!) that can be completed and submitted electronically.

Completing  and returning a free and reduced lunch form  may also result in eligibility for additional financial assistance such as fee waivers for the pay to play athletics fees,  college exam fees, and any further PEBT benefits through the State of Michigan.   Free and reduced eligibility also determines the funding that the school districts receive to benefit our students

If you have questions about the application or require assistance completing it, please contact our Food Service Department at 810-724-9855 or email:
Completed forms can be mailed to:

Online Payment System

Imlay City Schools uses My School Bucks to provide families an opportunity to conveniently make deposits, view balances, and see the activity of their student’s lunch account(s). You may make deposits to your student’s account by using this online system. Visit My School Bucks directly at or access it through the ‘Parents’ section of our website at . The school district is also using this service for other school based deposits so please be sure to choose the correct option in the drop down menu in order to guarantee the money is deposited in the correct account.   There is a $2.75 fee per transaction. You may place funds into more than one account within a single transaction in order to pay only one transaction fee.  The Imlay City School district does not receive any portion of this transaction fee.  The transaction fee is charged by My School Bucks and their processing company; Heartland, for using their service.
